My wife had her interview on August 31, 2022 scheduled at 8:00 AM at the US Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan.
My wife's interview lasted about 10 minutes all-in-all with Visa Officer (VO). No formal physical evidence paperwork was asked for (we came with all relevant documents).
The first 5 minutes was the visa officer checking the online submissions of our paperwork and then came these VO general questions:
- How did you meet your husband?
- Was it a love marriage or arranged marriage?
- Are you guys cousins and related?
- What did your husband study?
- What did you study?
- What does he do?
- What do you do?
- Are you planning to work in the US? What do you plan to do?
- Can I see pictures of you guys?

Interview experience
IR1-islamabad

Interview time 8.30
Reached shuttle station at 6.45am got my shuttle pass for 3000 Rs. The shuttle droped us at the main gate where the staff divided us in to two lanes immigrant visa(IV) and non immigrant visa applicants.
After showing the interview letter they gave us the pass at the gate and guide us into the building for security checking.
After security check i was told to take the elevator to 2nd floor to visa section where i was given 2 tokens. 1 for doc submission and 2nd for interview. After waiting for sometime they announced my token number where i have to submitt my civil docs (original) with passport and 2 recent photographs. The civil docs were
Original birth certificate.
Nadra Marriage certificate.
Urdu marriage certi.

Very quick and efficient. The whole process took 30-45 mins. Interview was a min long. Officer was friendly and approved the visa on the spot.
